Deadstock Tencel Care

Composed of natural material, all TENCEL™ standard fibres are biodegradable and compostable under industrial, home, soil and marine conditions, thus they can always fully revert back to nature.

Our Deadstock Tencel

All our Deadstock Tencel is supplied by our SMETA certified London factory ApparelTasker. Left behind by a fallen brand, this lustrous, high quality fabric was destined for landfill until it was offered up to us. It’s true what they say; one person's trash is another person's treasure. We use their deadstock fabric to create our beautiful Pyjama Suit and Cargo Trouser. Not only are we preventing waste, but we have been lucky enough to use the leftovers of such a luxurious material with a texture softer than silk and smoother than cotton. Composed of natural material, all TENCEL™ standard fibres are biodegradable and compostable under industrial, home, soil and marine conditions, thus they can always fully revert back to nature. Taking care of your garment is ESSENTIAL to its longevity. Obviously the most environmentally friendly way of washing your garments is a cold hand wash but we understand this isn’t always possible so the next best option is to Eco Dry Clean.

Care Instructions

Taking care of your garment is ESSENTIAL to its longevity. Obviously the most environmentally friendly way of washing your garments is a cold hand wash but we understand this isn’t always possible so the next best option is to Eco Dry Clean. Hand Wash Or Eco Dry-clean only. Hang to dry Iron on reverse at medium temperature, 110°C Do not tumble or bleach. The most important Tencel washing tip is to avoid high heat, whether you're washing, drying or ironing.

Detailed Wash Instructions

We wear tested our Tencel garments and our findings were you shouldn't need to wash them more than once every 5-6 wears. To preserve the colour, wash inside out. Wash with similar colours to prevent colour bleeding. Hang dry to remove wrinkles and reduce the need for ironing.

Extra Care Tips

This Tencel can be stored on hangers as it has no stretch and avoids any unnecessary wrinkles. If you’d like to hang your pieces, use a wide hanger that supports the shoulders and avoid hanging it by the neck label. Avoid storing and drying in direct sunlight to prevent colour changes, sunlight also weakens the lyocell fibres.

If and when you’ve outworn your garment please get in contact with us as we have a circular system set in place, meaning your piece can have another life and maximises our zero-waste policy.

* Our goal for 2022 is to have all our new fabrics to be sourced within European and Turkish borders in order to eliminate any unnecessary carbon being produced. Sticking to our 0 waste policy we will use all the fabric we have already brought and move forward with our more local sourcing of our yarns.
