Where We Make
Every PLC piece is designed in England and made with one of two small, family-run factories.
Polsmrek, Poland, the home for PLC Studios tailoring and structured pieces, working closely with Danuta and her team. They are responsible for our studio collection, perfecting our Velvet Suits and Winston Jumpsuit.
LT Clothing, Portugal, our partner for Planet Loving Company jersey and softer, everyday wardrobe pieces, chosen for their quality and their own commitment to responsible production.
Who We Work With
Beyond our factories and fabric, every component has a name and a place behind it. Our shoulder pads come from WILDA.ECO, handmade in Poznań by our partners at Wilda, our shoulder pads are made from premium European linen and Japanese organic bamboo, a single layer of 4mm bamboo wadding sandwiched between two layers of linen, adding subtle structure to a jacket's shoulder.
Our fusing comes from ADKN in London, it's made from 100% recycled cotton, salvaged from discarded fabric across Hungary, Romania and Italy, bonded with a plant-based adhesive from wood pulp. Left undyed to avoid bleach and harmful dyes, it's produced in Hungary under our supplier's partnership with the Sustainability Research Institute at the University of East London, and certified to GRS and Oeko-Tex standards.
Our thread is Celofil by Crafil it's TENCEL™ lyocell thread spun in Braga, Portugal, from fibres made in Lenzing, Austria, using a closed-loop process that recovers up to 99.7% of the solvent and 95% of the water used. It's hypoallergenic, carries Oeko-Tex 100 and Lenzing certifications, and produces up to 50% less carbon and water impact than generic lyocell or modal.
Our Fibres
We don't use plastic, not in our fabrics, not in our trims, not in the threads. We design for circularity, favouring mono-fibre fabrics wherever we can, because a garment made from one fibre type is a garment that can actually be recycled at the end of its life.
